Facebook… Facebook… Facebook…

    Yep. Facebook.

Facebook is a social networking service and website initiated on February 2004, operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc.  Nowadays, Facebook has more than 845 million active users. Millions of people use facebook to keep in touch with their loved ones and business associates, to keep or share uploaded photos and videos and enjoy recreation. Maaari din magsave ng notes at magshare ng links about everything- news, photos, videos, tsismis, etc. from other sites. Ang mission nga ng “pinaka” na social network is to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. http://www.facebook.com/facebook?sk=info). Try to watch the movie Social Network kung hindi mo pa napapanuod, para malaman mo kung paano nabuo ang facebook.  Uhm, Mark Zuckerberg is the predecessor to Facebook.

Ang mga Filipino,  Facebook adik ‘yan.  Ayon sa site na  http://www.socialbakers.com, na nagbibigay ng details about sa ating social networking statistic, there is 92.91% of FB users in relation to number of internet users.  Almost lahat na nag eh may facebook account, any gender, any age. The largest age group of FB users is around 18 to 24, and ther are 48% of male users at 52% ay female. Ayon naman sa http://www.internetworldstats.com/asia.htm#ph,  facebook penetration in Philippines is 26.5% at umaabot sa 27  033 680  ang facebook users sa Pilipinas as of December 31, 2011.

Dahil nga sa dami ng Filipino FB users, sa kabila ng magagandang features ng naturang site including ang magshare ng magshare ng magshare, nagkaroon ng issue about the so-called Facebook porn attack na originated daw in the Phillipines. Oh c’mon. Mapa-Pinoy man o hindi, self discipline lang ‘yan. Hex.

I started to use Facebook when I was first year college student. Ang dahilan ko pa ‘ata noon eh meron CS group created by one of our instructor. S’yempre kailangan mag join dun eh I was not interested sa FB that time, kahit nga nung kapanahunan ng Friendster eh, wapakels ako though I have my account naman. Tapos, ayun, tuloy –tuloy na ang paggamit. How do I use my Facebook account and why am I using it? I don’t need to spend a lot of money para kumustahin ang relatives na nasa malayo, chat with my best of friends, magtanong ng assignments sa classmates, magtanong kay sir at ma’am about sa projects at  makipagtsikahan kay LA.J   At dahil medyo sentimental kuno ang inyong lingkod, I keep photos in my album in FB. J Minsan, nagpopost ako kung anong ginagawa ko, ‘pag super happy, badtrip or stress. Nisi-share ko din ‘yung mga info about sa mga nawawalang tao o someone who needs help o ‘yung mga warnings, minsan lang din kasi I’m not so sure kung totoo nga ‘yun. Ganyan ko lang naman s’ya gamitin. Uhm, sometimes I play games. Ang pagkakamali kong ginawa in using Fb? Wala pa naman ‘ata. Don’t try to open other accounts na lang. Ehemm… :p

Tsaka, dahil ang FB nga ay good way to reach people and a rich source of data about those people, bigyang pansin ang security and privacy. kaya nga may password eh. Kahit dahil maliit na bagay eh there always be people who would kill just to see you fall. Ano daw? Haha. You got my point naman di ba? Add mo na lang kaya ako, let’s be friends in FB. Hahaha! J

My Plans and Ambitions after Graduation

March 31, 2020, around three o’clock in the afternoon, I’m on a rush. Today is a grand reunion for BSCS batch 2013. I’ll be late! (Just like the old days. J) The IT company where I’m employed sent me to London to attend in a very significant conference four days ago.

Hahaha! ‘Ayan daw ang eksena after how many years. Saya isipin. J Tapos, after ng ilang years pa, mas maganda pa ‘yung pwedeng maging job.

Magpapasa ng resume personal o through online.

Hahaha! Pa’no na ako magiging lawyer nun? And, ano namang laws ang pwede kong gawin?

As a Computer Science gradute naman, ano kayang pwede kong maging trabaho? So, ayun, pwede maging programmer.

Software Engineer. ‘Yan ‘ata ang trabaho ng pinsan ko. Gusto ko ding maexperience. Software Engineer si Anjhe? Bigtime.

Gusto ko din makakuha ng certificates from Cisco, Microsoft and many more. Asset ‘to. Uhm, like what I’ve above, gusto ko din magturo. Madami akong gustong ‘maging.’ Haha. Haha! Saya saya.

“Mangarap ka at abutin mo ‘to. – Bob Ong

Thesis Title? Ahmm…

THESIS? Thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings.
Tapos, ngayon, third year na kami. THESIS. This is it.
Attendance Monitoring System, Payroll System, Student Information System etc. MIS. Kasi, simula second year, ganun ang mga project namin. Dun kami nahasa. Pero, naisip ko din, CS can do something better and unique.

-cloud computing
-empathic and ubiquitous computing
-virtual reality
-artificial intelligence system
-computer-based game development
-fuzzy logic

Ang gagamitin namen na hardware para dun if ever man microphone or bot and balak namen na style wifi sya. WIFI in the aspect na may allotted range siya na kakayanin.

Oooppsss!! Trivia muna alam niyo ba ang artificial intelligence system ay branch of computer science concerned with making computers behave like humans. The term was coined in 1956 by John McCarthy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Artificial intelligence includes

games playing: programming computers to play games such as chess and checkers
expert systems : programming computers to make decisions in real-life situations (for example, some expert systems help doctors diagnose diseases based on symptoms)
natural language : programming computers to understand natural human languages
neural networks : Systems that simulate intelligence by attempting to reproduce the types of physical connections that occur in animal brains
robotics : programming computers to see and hear and react to other sensory stimuli
Hope you learn . . :p. Now lets bak to topic sound detector.

Foods That I Always Crave For

If there’s one thing Filipinos love, ito ay ang pagkain. Parang ako, I love eating (hindi lang halata. Hehehe!) Just always remember na we must eat right kind and right amount of food.
Ang dami nagsasabi na pihikan at kaunti lang daw ako kumain kasi nga I’m so thin. :p

McDonald’s Hot Fudge Sundae
Cool ice cream, meet warm fudge. J

Paborito ko ang ice cream and Hot Fudge Sundae makes a twist kasi ito ay reduced fat soft serve vanilla ice cream, smothered in chocolaty fudge sauce. (http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/food/product_nutrition.dessertsshakes.182.Hot-Fudge-Sundae.html) Love ko ‘to!
The good thing about eating Hot Fudge Sundae is low in Sodium ito. Ingat ingat nga lang ‘yung mga bawal ng matatamis at ‘yung mga nagda-diet d’yan because this food is high in Saturated Fat, and a large portion of the calories in this food come from sugars.  (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/foods-from-mcdonalds/6286/2)
Hot Sundae Fudge

Cheezy Baked Mac
A simple and cheesy home made macaroni and cheese. Mahilig ako sa pasta at macaroni. Kahit anong luto ata, gusto ko. Spaghetti. Fettucini. Carbonara. Macaroni Salad. Parang ayaw kong tigilan. Hahaha! So cheesy pa. Mahilig din kasi ako sa keso.

Sinigang na Hipon

Sinigang na Hipon

It has a tempting taste that stimulates people’s tastebuds.
This is one of the best ulam talaga na natikman ko in my whole life, lalo na ‘pag si Nanay ko ang nagluto. So nutritious pa.   I’m craving for this talaga. Hahaha!

Fries ng Kerrimo

Patatas. Potato sa English. Pomme de terre sa French. Patata sa Italy. Potato is good source of dietary energy and some micronutrients and its protein is very high in comparison with other roots and tubers. ( http://www.potato2008.org/en/potato/factsheets.html)

Favorite ko talaga ang patatas. Always available kahit saan. Hehe. Pero, the best pa din if I buy sa Kerrimo though may kamahalan din. Sarap sarap. Pwede pa mamili ng flavors. Mas masarap kung libre ni Lucky Aquino. Hahaha. J

Kerrimo Fries

Chocolate
           “Hungry? Why wait?” – Snickers
“Melts in your mouth, not in your hand.” – M&Ms
“Award yourself with a Cadbury’s Dairy Milk” – Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate
“Delightfully Delicious One-of-a-kind Kisses”- Kisses
            Nakakatakam.
I love sweets. I love chocolates. Hehe. Basta, lagi ko itong hinahanap-hanap. Madaming myths about sa pagkain ng chocolate. It causes tooth decay daw, acne and hyperactivity. J

Basketball: Sport I Usually Play During Leisure

Zzzzz..
Tulog.
Kain.
Household chores.
Tulog.
Computer. Angry Birds.  DOTA. Ran.
Wala na bang iba?
Dumaan ang tropa. Nagyaya magbasketball. Shoot. Labas muna ako. Maglalaro muna

Trivia muna.
Dr. James Naismith is known world-wide as the inventor of basketball. He was born in 1861 in Ramsay township, near Almonte, Ontario, Canada. The concept of basketball was born from Naismith's school days in the area where he played a simple child's game known as duck-on-a-rock outside his one-room schoolhouse. The game involved attempting to knock a "duck" off the top of a large rock by tossing another rock at it. Naismith went on to attend McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After serving as McGill's Athletic Director, James Naismith moved on to the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA in 1891, where the sport of basketball was born. In Springfield, Naismith was faced with the problem of finding a sport that was suitable for play inside during the Massachusetts winter for the students at the School for Christian Workers. Naismith wanted to create a game of skill for the students instead of one that relied solely on strength. He needed a game that could be played indoors in a relatively small space. The first game was played with a soccer ball and two peach baskets used as goals. Naismith joined the University of Kansas faculty in 1898, teaching physical education and being a chaplain.

I play badminton, volleyball, soccer etc. Oo, lahat na. Pero, basketball is the sport I usually play during leisure. Uhm, bakit? Kasi ganito…

Basketball, commonly, is a fun past time for anyone, mapa-bata o matanda. Masasabi din na isa itong form of exercise. I have same interest with my friends and isa na nga dito ang paglalaro nito. It is a best thing you can do with your peers while burning calories. Hahaha! Pero, totoo ‘yun. J

One thing I love in basketball eh, pwede mo itong laruin ng may kasama, one-on-one o isang buong team talaga, pwede din na ikaw lang mag-isa. You can really fight the boredom by playing this. Basta, avoid having a dirty games. J

All About Database Management System

I took this subject when I was second year, A.Y. 2010-2011, second semester. Anong meron sa subject na ito? From the word itself, ‘eto ang pag-aaralan. Database Management System;
database- is a collection of related data;
management- planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of
something and;
system-  is a whole compounded of several parts or
members. Pero, ito talaga yun…

Para mas malinaw, DBMS is a system used to create, maintain, and provide controlled access to user databases. It provides methods in adding, updating, storing and retrieving data in the database.

Sa mga unang araw ng pag-aaral (ehemm), ang una naming tinalakay is ‘yung comparison ng traditional at  modern file processing at ang mga advantages and disadvantages nito. The advantages of database approach are:
Program data independence
Palanned data redundancy
Improved data consistency
Increased productivity of application development
Enforcement of standards
Improved data quality
Improved data accessibility and responsiveness
Reduced program maintenance
Improved decision support
Kaya lang, kapag may dbms, kailangan ng specialized personnel, mas mahal, kailangan ng back up copies of data at sa paggamit nito, kung di magaling mag manage eh pwedeng magkaron ng organizational conflict.

The components of the database system must also be discussed.
Computer-aided software engineering (CASE) tools
Repository
DBMS
Database
Application Programs
User Interface
Data and Database Administrators
System Developers
End users

Database design. The database development design phases brings up the concept of data models. Knol stated that “in the implementation design phase, the conceptual data model is translated into a logical representation of the database system. The logical data model conveys the logical functioning and structure of the database  and describes 'how the data is stored' (Dan et al., 2007) (e.g. what tables are used, what constraints are applied) but is not specific to any DBMS. Logical database model is a lower-level conceptual model, which must be translated to a physical design.  Physical modelling deals with the representational aspects and the operational of the database, i.e. the internal DBMS specific operations and processes and how the DBMS interacts with the data, the database and the user. The translation from logical design to physical design assigns functions to both the machine (the DBMS) and to the user functions such as storage and security and additional aspects such as consistency (of data) and learn ability are dealt with in the physical model/schema. Practically speaking, a physical schema is the SQL coe used to build the database.” (http://knol.google.com/k/database-design-steps-how-to-develop-a-database#)
Dito nga pag-aaralan ang ilang data models gaya ng entity relationship model which is defined as a representation of the data for an organization or for a business which is presented through ERD o entity relationship diagram. May ERD formal semantics ito that must be thoroughly understood, in order to create correct diagrams.
Dito ko narinig ang  normalization na may iba’t ibang forms which  is the process of efficiently organizing data in a database. There are two goals of the normalization process: eliminating redundant data and ensuring data dependencies make sense. Both of these are worthy goals as they reduce the amount of space a database consumes and ensure that data is logically stored.
Mapapag-aralan din dito ang data administration  that has function of managing and maintaining database management systems (DBMS) software at how to manage data security na ang goal is the protection of data from accidental or intentional threats to their integrity and access. May iba’t ibang way para dito.
